viagogo and MTV Networks International Partner to Auction Tickets for 2008 MTV Europe Music Awards in Aid of the Staying Alive Foundation
(PRWEB) October 3, 2008 -- All proceeds raised from the auction will go to the Staying Alive Foundation, an organisation whose mission is to encourage, energize, and empower young people who are involved in HIV/AIDS awareness, education and prevention campaigns.

"The money raised through the auction will make a significant contribution to our projects around the world that work with young people who are involved in HIV/AIDS awareness, education and prevention."
This year's event will take place at the Echo Arena Liverpool, Liverpool on Thursday 6th November. It's set to be one of the great musical celebrations of 2008 as well as a highlight of Liverpool's year as European Capital of Culture.
The winners of the auction will be treated to a star studded evening, with fantastic live performances and 11 award categories, including Most Addictive Track, Best Act Ever and Video Star.
This is the 15th MTV Europe Awards and Liverpool is the third UK city to host the awards, following Edinburgh (2003) and London (1996). Last year's awards in Munich saw live performances from Foo Fighters, Mika, Avril Lavigne and Amy Winehouse. In 2007 the MTV Europe Music Awards - broadcast on 19 channels across Europe as well as across the US and Asia - reached a total television audience of over 30 million people.
