YouTube Video Playlists Made Easy: WatchItPlay.com
Springfield, MO (PRWEB) January 30, 2008 -- It may sound odd, but a seventeen year old by the name of Tom King has created something that YouTube users have been wanting for years; a simpler way to watch and organize videos.
King spent months coding and designing the site WatchItPlay.com (http://www.watchitplay.com). His main goal was to create a place where a user could watch YouTube videos in an organized manner. By utilizing a simple search box, the site will pick up on the users search request and play videos back to back, without any user interaction at all. Users can skip videos or go back as they please, and when they find one worth watching again later, simply hitting the "save" button will add it to their playlist.
"I was sick of the unorganized clutter that YouTube presented me with," said King. "WatchItPlay.com was originally a personal project, but after showing it to a few friends they wanted accounts too. I figured if was helpful to us, other people would find it useful as well."
As YouTube has grown exponentially over the past two years, designers everywhere have been wondering why they never implemented a simpler interface.
"I think the designers over at YouTube are doing a good job, but they seem to have forgot rule number one of design; K.I.S.S. Or "Keep It Simple, Stupid," said designer Brandon Reynolds. "I think there's a few things they could learn from a seventeen year old. Tom has created something YouTube should have created two years ago."
WatchItPlay.com (http://www.watchitplay.com) is now open for new user registration and it's absolutely free. King says there are no plans to charge for membership anytime in the future.
